About Motmot Foundation Repair

Ricardo Chamorro has worked San Antonio and Central Texas foundations for nearly 15 years. He started on a repair crew and came up through foreman, superintendent, project manager, and office manager, so he learned the trade from the pit rather than from a desk. He is also ICC-certified as a Residential Building Contractor.

Ricardo met and married Tatty Chamorro, and they started Motmot Foundation Repair together. Tatty studied Construction Management, and she brought the organization and the attention to detail into the company.

Today Motmot works out of the main shop on Vance Jackson Road in San Antonio, and the crews run the corridor daily from there. That covers San Marcos, New Braunfels, Kyle, Buda, and the rest of the upper corridor.

Over the years they have seen almost every type of foundation situation. Some houses show large, alarming cracks and the elevation readings come back mild. Others show one small crack and the movement underneath turns out to be serious. You cannot tell which house you have by looking at it, which is why nothing here gets called before it gets measured.

Foundation repair doesn't end when the crew drives off, either. Some companies go quiet once the warranty is the only thing left. We check in with customers every six months, so small issues get caught while they are still small.
